Hippo Leisure

Hippo have been manufacturing products for the leisure industry with great success for over 16 years. We are located in Plymouth, Devon where our state-of-the-art 45,000m2 factory houses our high-tech production plant.

We are a family run business encompassing a young, dynamic team of designers and engineers. We have invested significantly in new manufacturing technology which gives us the ability to create innovative products quickly and cost effectively. We have added notable experience to our pool plant engineering skills giving us a greater breadth of products and services to offer.

Our entry into the Leisure market was through the manufacture of custom made safety padding. Working with the leaders in water park development gave us the springboard needed to develop our own range of pool play equipment. Over the last 10 years we have continued to expand and develop this range to keep ahead of the demands of todays public. Working closely with our group of “kid consultants” we have been able to study water play and how different age groups behave in a swimming pool environment. From wobbly toddlers to the confident pre-teens we have now developed products, with integral safety features, to suit all age ranges.

Our interactive play range takes into consideration the needs of the pool operator as well as the end user. We have strived to design out any high maintenance or high cost spares. Through our membership to RoSPA and the Association of Play Industries we have taken the issues of Health & Safety and put them at the heart of each of our products. Our attention to detail includes integral non-slip features, impact absorbing safety surfaces and our own soft-to-touch safe play system. We are able to utilise a mix of materials from marine grade stainless steel to closed cell foam. Our manufacturing capability enables us to coat hard surfaces and cover exposed fixings to create custom made solutions for unusual or awkward areas.

Our customer base is as diverse as our products and range from Center Parcs to Vivienne Westwood. We enjoy strategic alliance with several partner companies enabling us to expand our offering further and bring additional expertise to new projects. However, no amount of development will ever change our mission statement which is to continue to serve our customer needs with quality products and services.
