Hippo Leisure have transformed teaching pools at Wolverton
Swimming & Fitness Centre and Cefn Fforest Leisure Centre this summer by
installing interactive play equipment.
The play equipment at both centres has been installed
to allow the teaching pool to be either free of play equipment during swimming
sessions, or to provide the flexibility of teaching sessions to run alongside
these sessions if desired.
At Wolverton Swimming & Fitness Centre Hippo
installed two span arms suspended over the pool, each with a number of surprise
and anticipatory based features including shark showers, tipping buckets and
water wheels. A snake squirt and a
selection of interactive play panels were also installed to enhance the visual
impact and provide excitement for toddler and mixed ability user groups.
Cefn Fforest also opted for Hippo’s popular play panels,
along with 6 floatys and an interactive span pipe along the pool wall, to
squirt water over the poolside.
The aim of these play feature installations are to
bring fun to lifeless teaching pools and attract more visitors without
disrupting teaching sessions. The
installation of new play equipment will enable the pools to become more appealing to community groups, have the
facilities to promote learning through play and remarket themselves.
