Hippo Leisure offer site visit after lockdown

Great news and good luck to all leisure facilities as they prepare to reopen following the green light from the government following lockdown.Ahead of reopening, Andy Taylor, (Business Development manager for Hippo Leisure) has suggested that any leisure facility with waterplay features should:

1. Check all waterplay features are clean and have no stagnant water in them, which potentially could cause illness such as legionnaires disease

2. Carry out a visual inspection to ensure that there is no mould growth on play features that have been unused since March

3. If the decision was made to drain pools during lockdown, it would be advisable to clean thoroughly before refilling commences.

We understand that there is lots to consider when reopening and if statistics are true, just 20% of facilities were planning to reopen this weekend. If you have any questions about your waterplay features or have any concerns about their safety, we can schedule for Andy to visit your centre for a free of charge visit during September.
