Waterball Fun for Sandcastle Water Park

Hippo Leisure has installed a colourful Interactive Waterball at Sandcastle Water Park in Blackpool to provide fresh kid appeal in the fun pool for 2019.

The Waterball has replaced the Water Park’s old Mushroom Fountain and has been designed to excite young minds and increase water confidence in children of all ages and abilities. It features a range of low level interactive features, popular with toddlers and less water confident children including interactive water jets, fill ‘n’ spill buckets, interactive hand wheels and cannon jets.

Topped with a four-arm interactive mast, the Waterball will provide excitement for older children as water splashes onto them from a range of high level features at anticipatory or surprise intervals. Children can be soaked by a tipping bucket, sprayed by a spinning waterwheel and showered by a shark shower or pipefalls feature.

A Pelican themed water squirt sits on top of the mast and squirts water into the pool from its beak to provide extra fun for those playing below.

Hippo’s installation team worked quickly and efficiently to minimise disruption to visitors by ensuring a quick re-opening of the beach area which was closed to the public for a short period to allow safe connection.

The Waterball was very popular with children and their families visiting the Water Park over the Christmas holidays.

The play features can be updated and expanded in the future to keep them fresh and appealing and it is sure to be popular with both local families and visitors to Blackpool throughout 2019 and beyond.
